dragonlady7: self-portrait but it's mostly the DSLR in my hands in the mirror (deaths-head)

I am one big ball of pain. Lots of running around and idiocy at work. Blah blah ugh. Made me stay late, and when I phoned Z to tell him so, he was out at the grocery store getting ingredients for the special surprise dinner he'd been planning to make me, which I necessarily missed. Which bums the hell out of me now, but perhaps we can have it tonight.

House still in shambles. Made progress on reorganization of clothes, but, uh, it's too slow: I need to be done by now. Haven't cleaned floors, cleaned off kitchen surfaces, or finished with the living room yet. On the one hand, Mom and Dad shouldn't really care. On the other hand, I'll feel like even more of a disappointment if I can't even clean my house. But my legs hurt and I've got a knot like my fist in the muscles around my right shoulder blade, to the point that I really can't raise the arm.

On a happier note, Z sent me this link: a funny movie that appears to be a kind of parody of Spinal Tap but not really. I promise you, most of you my f-list will particularly enjoy it. Take my word for it.
It was sent to Z by one of his videographer co-workers, by the way, because Z decreed yesterday to be Hair Metal Thursday and spent the day with his hair down, but opinion, rather than crowning him a heavy metal god, became divided over whether he looked like a wizard or some sort of demonic elf. His hair is very long at the moment, down nearly to his shoulder blades. We both need haircuts.

And on another other good note, I finally got the statement I needed, and so used my tax refund to pay off the smaller of my two student loans. I am excited, merely because that littler one was held by a company I loathed. The full story is explained here, on Elmwoodstrip; suffice to say, I still have five digits in loan debt for a degree I am not in any way using, making it the largest vanity purchase in my life by several thousand degrees. (The second largest useless and frivolous item I purchased myself probably cost about seventy dollars, so, there you have it. It probably brought me more joy, too.)
