Apr. 16th, 2006 09:36 amThe Easter Bunny came!!!
OK, it was Z, and ok, I told him to go to Parkside and get us candy, but still. He got us all kinds of goodies.
So we had chocolate for breakfast.
And then we had coffee to wash it down.
Z is lying on his bed. "I'm seeing stars," he said faintly when i checked on him. I then proceeded to chase him around the house asking if I could zrbrt him. "Can I? Can I? Can I? How bout now? Now? Now?"
We're doing very well.
The video I linked to yesterday-- I didn't describe it adequately. I don't think I mentioned that there is a great bit where Eddy eats the horseradish. We watched it in slow-mo, when he sticks this cracker with a massive gob of fresh horseradish on it in his mouth, chews, says, "'S not so bad," chews, and then his eyes bug out. The eyes bugging out got replayed in slowmo like four times.
And the part where the old lady says, "What did you do to that banana!!" is an excellent example of the local second-generation-old-Polish-lady accent prevalent in Cheektowaga. Actually the whole thing is full of wonderful Buffalo accents.
And the nun saying, "I do so love the kielbasa," is also comedy gold. (Z's mom knows her, too. It's Buffalo. She knows everybody.)
I am sad that I have to go to work and thus will get no kielbasa today.
