chug, chug, chug

I am making progress. Progress!
I only say that because I just got to paste in nearly a thousand words from the old draft. But now I'm butting up against a huge gap I filled with a paragraph in brackets that says cryptic things like [socializing; introduce characters. (introduce [villain]). bring up parent issues. set up for later revelation.] In short, "All the stuff that's hard to work into exposition? Do it here."
Bah.
And I have to work at 2pm today because I promised a co-worker I would.
And I have to run all the errands that need to be done before we go to Georgia.
And I have to do all the laundry I didn't do yesterday.
But! Completed Draft is 20,000 words long now, with no remaining gaps whatsoever. I think another 5k words should be about right to wrap up the first third of the novel-- this section is the setup. Then Major Event #1 happens, and we deal with that for another third, and then I think the last third can be the climax, wrapup, and conclusion.
God, am I getting boring or what?
