Much to say. No time.
1) I. Hate. My. Job.
Life goal: By next Christmas, have a job that gives me holidays off. Jumping jiminy on a pogo stick, man-- I was so happy when it was unseasonably warm and there was no chance of snow delays, and then the fucking fog rolled in off the Atlantic and we had awful delays from JFK and LaGuardia and I wound up staying until closing time and entirely missing dinner.
DEATH. I must ditch this job.
2) Kringles: Insane. Everyone picked the exact same bad pun to base their gift upon. Except, well, the giant fruitcake that was actually fruitcake, and also the giant loaf of moldy bread with a $50 stuck in it. And oh, the penguin in a barbeque that I received. Penguins is, after all, practically chickens.
I promise I'll post photos once I find the cord to connect the camera to the computer.
3) I own many shiny things and they're awfully shiny, I'm sure. But I don't have time to describe them.
4) I STILL HAVEN'T FINISHED WRAPPING PRESENTS. If you can believe that. I must go do that.
5) Am departing to see my family in Melrose in about 6 hours, so I have to go and wrap presents and also, pack, and also, oh yeah, sleep.

I am more in the Christmas spirit now but also am really, really, really tired and sore. Must sleep. A lot.

Hey - I hope your trip home was fabulous, and that your dad is doing well and your family was hysterically happy to see you. And yes, you do need to find a different job. I understand banks have a lot of holidays off. Maybe you could start your own bank.
