I have shit to do here. I am busy, I am being domestic, and I just... have shit to do.
The Prius is misbehaving. It had a little episode earlier, and I thought it was because of low fuel, but it did it again yesterday with over 3/4 a tank of gas, which occasioned panic. I got in touch with a tech today, who reassured me that it's fine to drive despite the dire warnings, but still.
I can't call in sick, of course. But I am sorely tempted to call in late with car trouble. Especially since yesterday the second server, who was supposed to be in at 11, blithely showed up an hour late because it was snowy. Having battled horrid traffic and awful conditions myself, in a frantic rush not to be late, I am a bit peeved that he received no censure for this. Given that he's the sort who seems to receive no censure for anything at all, including failings that cause me personally quite a bit extra effort, I am probably cutting him less slack than I ought.
So I think I might call in a little late today. I am having car trouble. It is true. So it doesn't really matter. I'll just be in about an hour late. That's my current plan. Because I have shit to do. So very much. And the car trouble is only making it worse.
