Urgh. Shuddup.
Nov. 24th, 2005 07:50 amAwoke to the only thing in my inbox being an (as usual) overly cheerful email from Chris Baty telling me Everything Is OK. Um, dude, I've been at 33,000 for over a week now: No it isn't. But, well, whatever. Shut up.
I want to write more, but, you know, yesterday was the first day off that Z and I have had, together, in literally months. (Not counting one Saturday I strategically called in sick so I could buy boots.) I had so much fun I couldn't fall asleep last night.
Remember that "Geek, Spaz, or Dweeb?" Saturday Night Live skit? Well, neither do I, but Z and his friends used to do it-- I guess it was like a game show where they determined whether various "high schoolers" were Geeks, Spazzes, or Dweebs. Z, as confirmed by a look through his high school yearbook, is a Geeky Spaz. He has insisted that I am a Spazzy Dweeb. I made a Punnett Square with those two labels to determine what sort of offspring we would have if we mated. Which was funny and I couldn't stop laughing. (Of course there'd be a Spazzy Spaz! But I think we'd have to drown the Geeky Dweeb at birth, to spare it a horrible life-- however, how would we determine which one it was? We'd have to come up with a prenatal screening process. Go eugenics!) (Do I have to write a disclaimer that I am kidding about drowning dweebs?)
Meh. I am going to go shower in this warm, warm house with actual water pressure... That's sort of the downside to house-sitting, is it makes you more aware of what your own house lacks. Although we have yet to actually turn on the television, we have so totally been enjoying the thermostat.
Edited to add:
NFTA, would it fucking kill you to fix your fucking website so I could see when the last flight out tonight is? The database on their Arrivals/Departures page is down, and it shows no flights at all today, which I know is wrong because it showed no flights at all yesterday. Durrr. Come ON.
(You know their webmaster gets Thanksgiving off. Fucker. I'm trying not to resent everyone who has the holiday off, but it's sort of difficult. Don't take it personally, I'm just insanely jealous. ... You know, I need a new job.)
On an entirely unrelated note (showing a bit of my SEO past here) I can't help but chuckle: Google Analytics is going to have to "limit their service" because they're experiencing "very high demand"-- can you imagine how goddamn much traffic it must be, if it's giving Google's servers a heart attack? Snicker.
