Dorkmobile is still at the doctor. They phoned me up and said, "Hey, while doing the routine maintenance we noticed that your brake rotors are rusty and the pads are worn down almost to the sensors. Want us to fix that?"
I pondered it a moment. And sighed. Dad said brakes usually last 30-50,000 miles, and the Dorkmobile is just over 60,000. (This is its 60k maintenance.) "You might as well," I said. "How much will it be?"
...
When I pick up the car, I gots to drop them $1100 now, for the whole service and the brake job. Yow.

Eh well. Baby needs a new pair of brakes.


Meanwhile I am writing books for people for Xmas. I've been toying with the idea, but hadn't done it. I'm making a home bartending manual with basic recipes and techniques for my various friends and siblings and relatives who I'm giving liquor to, and also a cookbook/menu guide with my good tested recipes in it for my various friends and relatives who are trying to learn to cook for themselves. Anyone who wants a copy of either, do let me know.

I done some Xmas shopping today. I feel virtuous. I'm not really getting an early start anymore, but since I've no idea of the passage of time, I feel like I am.

oooo, oooo!!! Could I have a meals-recipe book?? I still have your index card with the directions for pancakes and french toast. And I still subsist on pizza. I need help. :)
