Right. Well.
Oct. 19th, 2005 04:30 pmThe paper went to the press at 4, so if anyone were going to bug me for yet more edits on the story, it would have to already have happened. So I think I can celebrate.
It is a blustery day and thus is cold in here. I am cold. It is only about 55 out, but I'm cold nonetheless. Which either means my windows are leaky and I had better get the storms down and re-caulk the seams, or I am an imaginative fogey and need to wear more hats.
Well, I mean, I know it's obvious-- people are not wearing enough hats-- but still.
I picked the last of the tomatoes. What can I do with the last of the tomatoes? I need to cook something. I don't know what. Something warm, preferably. It is cold in here.
It's already the Sunday evening of my weekend and I must resign myself that most of the things I meant to do today are simply too much for one day. I have been indoors, cleaning, and it has been a cloudy day with flashes of sun, and I am struck by how dark it is in this house, especially with the doors closed now that it is cold. It is going to be a long dim winter, I know this.
Oh, looking at my calendar, I think the kick-off for the Buffalo area NaNoWriMo event was last night. Far from being fired up and ready to write, I am wondering if i even remember how. I am so cold, on so many levels. What can I even write about?
