a vignette
Oct. 10th, 2005 09:59 amI forgot to mention a little scene from work yesterday, which illustrates how busy things were.
For most of the game, I thought the Bills were losing, because one customer in particular, who sat there a long time and was often in my line of sight (I tend to scan the glasses of everyone at the bar to see empties, etc) was frequently making awful faces and cursing out loud.
It wasn't until near halftime that I had a moment to chat with the customer, and found out he was a Dolphins fan.
I glanced up at the TV and only then did I find out the score.
(For posterity, I will note that the Bills were ahead the whole game and won, in the end.)

Date: 2005-10-11 01:00 pm (UTC)You know, we were so hopeful-- they were so good at the end of last year, but by then it was too late. But without Spikes?
Like I even know what I'm talking about-- I don't even know who the starting quarterback is now Lossman's benched.
