hold still, monitor!!
Aug. 27th, 2005 11:47 pmHave returned home. Checked email while there, and flist, but wasn't logged in, and so groggily see that I missed entries (and also at some point left someone an anonymous comment unsigned because I didn't notice I wasn't logged in). Durr.
Have some catching up to do. Jesus, don't have a day off for like ever. Pleh.
The weekend, in short:
I couldn't find black pants earlier because, DURR, it was summer and nobody's spring/summer line had black pants in it. I was nearly overwhelmed with black pants this morning.
I didn't get to Go Shopping With Fiona because she didn't get the day off, and was in general rather useless. I hung out with Ann. I had forgotten about Fiona's legendary unreliability. Everything was Drama. And she tells the same stories over and over. Am I like that?
Ann's roommates were adorable. It has always struck me as a little odd how various of my sisters' friends are always so infatuated with us Kelly Girls as a group, but it's semi-universal by this point. Apparently we are irresistible as a trio. It's been so long since we were a quartet, however, that I can't remember what that's like.
Surreally, all three of us were wearing black t-shirts all weekend. Which was odd. We three younger ones are all blondes, so it was a rather frightening uniformity of appearance.
Unrelatedly, Ithaca's streets are laid out like somebody flung spaghetti at a wall and it stuck. Holy shit. I phoned Ann four times once I was within the city limits: "Your directions broke. Where do I go now?"
Coffee and tiredness are making the monitor shake, which makes it rather hard to type or read, so I'm going to bed and will attempt to catch up tomorrow, although 8-10 hours of work will probably impede that somewhat.
And oh, my obligatory grumble: I wish the birthday presents I ordered myself would arrive already! I'm like a five-year-old over here: is it later yet? Is it later yet?
