Fiona: "Why don't I have the video camera? If he's gonna get butt-raped I wanna get some money for it."
Fiona: (a few moments later) "Oh, there he is."
Me: "Is he butt-raped?"
Fiona: "I don't know. He walks like that anyway."
Fiona was in the car, driving around to pick up her boyfriend who was wandering on foot around a college campus, and there was a mysterious light in the sky, and we thought it was a UFO.
The rest of the conversation just sort of followed.
Tragically, her cat just had to be put down because of a urinary tract blockage that was recurring and was more expensive than they could afford to fix, so she was traumatized. And the other two cats were upset about it. And so was she. Poor kitty. But they couldn't find anyone who could afford the care to adopt him, and they had to put him down before his kidneys failed and he started really suffering. So, poor kitty.
Dave is chagrined because we put Fooshina in with Foshella and they sorta don't like one another, so Fooshina's quarantined again and I have photographic evidence that, despite all documentation to the contrary, female betta fish do flare. I also got a better picture of New Foosh(ina) that shows her colors. So, sometime when I am not so terribly, terribly weary, I shall post that one. Meantime, I'm-a go bed because it be late and I gotta work at 9:30 again tomorrow and I counted and there are 80 bottles at All-Stars that have to be carried through that fucking security door.

Date: 2005-06-24 01:58 am (UTC)But thanks. :) I've always written like this. Half the people I know confess they just skim and look for mentions of their names; the other half say it's fascinating stuff. I used to do a weekly group-email to a large list, to coordinate social events with one of my groups at university, and I'd occasionally email no-longer-active members on the mailing list to ask them if they still wanted updates, and a surprising number of the long-absent members confessed they just liked reading the emails even if they weren't interested in the practices and parties and tournaments and the like.
It's a lot of fun to read the mundane stuff, but I've learned over the years I've had this journal that if one tries to make it somewhat interesting by devoting a little thought to what gets included, it's much more fun. :) I'm glad you've enjoyed, anyway.
