Am a bit tired, so shall make this brief, and in bullet points for your delectation.

1) Work failed to be as dumb as I had thought, given that not one but two people were missing, and so the morning staff had all been so shuffled around that I wound up working the most senior bartender's usual shift, cocktailing 11-7 at Landmark.
It's a long shift, but not as tiring as one would think, and hot damn, for a slow day I made tons of money. More than yesterday.

2) At work I received a text message from Dave, who had just had his job interview.
It was entitled "haiku" and read,

D in da hizzy
I rocked da intervizzy
I got the jizzy.

Which, explained later, meant that of four possible candidates for two available jobs, Dave was by far the best. They'll let him know on Wednesday, but things are looking extremely good.

3) I took Dave out to dinner at Kosta's, a Greek joint on Hertel. Dinner cost less than a third of what I earned today. Sweet.

4) I was hungry a lot today, and ate more or less normally. Evil inhabitant of stomach is officially departed. Feel fat and happy now. Yay.

In other news, I am inexplicably filled with a thoroughgoing desire to write... Het. Specifically Eomer/Lothiriel. Am I crazy, or am I regressing, or am I just sexua... Perhaps we shouldn't go there.

So. Tomorrow off. Given that it's a Tuesday and is my one-day weekend, perhaps I had best hie me to bed so as to make the most of it.

... but just a little het couldn't hurt, first, could it?
