I forgot to mention that yesterday turned out to be all over a wonderful day, starting off with the lovely drive downtown, being enriched by Dave getting let out early and another lovely drive, with the crescendo of the lovely (if painful) bike ride (today my buttocks rue it, but the rest of me, including the wonky knee, is free of regret, save only the bruise on my arm where the asshole hit me with his car door), and then the whole thing was capped off by Dave using some of his graduation gift money to take me out to dinner at Pizza Plant, where we had pods and even shared a bit of caramel apple pie-cake-thing for dessert. It was lovely, on the whole, and I whine too much, so there's a healthy bit of Life Is Awesome.

I've been so out of LJ-land for a while, but it's lovely to come back to and read a post like this. I'm so glad you got to have a lovely, long, relaxing (except for the buttock thing) day. You deserve it!
