dragonlady7Am about to embark upon an Epic Bike Ride with Dave. It's six miles just to get to the bike path, for starters. I dunno-- I've never gone more than about 10 miles on a bike. The path itself is only 3 miles long. So, 9 miles out, 9 miles back...
Gosh. I suppose I could go that far, if we're not in a hurry. Worst comes to worst, we take a long rest in the middle.
And there's an ice cream parlor about midway along, so we won't die.
The Riverwhatsit trail goes all the way now, but Dave was showing me the route and I'm trying to estimate the distances and it's easily over fifteen miles each way. Given that I have never, never, never ridden a bike that far, and my bike's gears are shitty, I am highly highly dubious as to whether the nicer trail would at all be a good idea. (Also, I wind up with blisters on my palms after about six miles because my bike has shitty grips, and after that my ass starts hurting too, and I do have to work tomorrow, which includes lifting lots of heavy things.)
So, that'll be fun. It's 65, and sunny, but windy. Am SPF-30'd and considering long pants.
The only other thing I've done today is change Alexander's water. He's still acting normal, not looking normal, and not eating. His scales are still sticking out and he's still bloated. But he's pissed off at the world in his usual fashion. I changed him from the water with antibiotics, which is looking scummy, to a concentrated mixture of Bettamax and aquarium salt.
I really dunno. I fed him, and he's been inspecting the pellet ferociously, but won't even eat it, let alone mouth it and spit it out. He doesn't seem to mind the new water, though.
He still hates me more than anything, which is, I guess, good.
