Was just poking through my college graduation photos, in search of my Proof That It Snowed At My Graduation picture. (That, by the way, is here.)

Mostly there isn't much to be nostalgic about. But I thought a few of you would appreciate this one.

Oh, Professor Higley, I miss you so.

That is such a perfect photo of Higley, that I just need to steal it. I was very happy to see that she came back from sabbatical to be at graduation, so I got to see her one last time before I left.

I don't think that we ever actually crossed paths (though we may have).

I'm Greg R. I was in (with Higley):
Old English, Fall 02
Beowulf, Spring 03
Chaucer, Spring 04
Alien Sex, Spring 04

I'm friends with Leopard Lady (which is how I found this post).

Given that I graduated in Spring, I'm thinking it's unlikely that our paths ever crossed.
*feels really old*

I figured you'd come in through l_l, tho'. :)

Good to know she's still teaching Alien Sex. Is she still showing that godawful Christopher Walken movie?

Yes she is. And the thing is terrible (possibly the lowpoint of the course). Besides that, it was wonderful. Perhaps the best part of the course is seeing other people's faces when I tell them that I took a course called "Alien Sex."

I still enjoy the look on people's faces, and I took the class in ... '01, it must've been.

Wow, she has Willy Wonka shades. She must be terribly cool.

Actually, they're mine. :)
Dave has stolen them, and wore them for his graduation. He wears them for many occasions. Like this (http://bridget.kelly.name/Pictures/JeansBirthday/JeansBirthday-Pages/Image1.html) occasion last summer.

It's OK, they suit him better anyway. I rarely seem to wear them (http://bridget.kelly.name/Pictures/bridget/bridget-Pages/Image3.html).

But Higs *is* terribly cool.

I was thinking about graduation the other day... Ah, huddling under our robes, trying not to die of exposure while the Dean blathered on interminably... Memories, memories :)

And *loves* for the picture of Dr. H!

:D
Yeah, I went to someone else's graduation this year and was quite disappointed when the weather was perfectly reasonable.
But then, with humorous irony, they had the a/c turned up too high and we froze indoors.
