Have just signed up for a flickr account as an experiment. If it's cool, and easy to use, I may well recommend it to Mom and Dad as a better way to share their digital photos than emailing the large uncompressed originals from their dial-up connection.
So, it's an experiment. Unfortunately I misconfigured the client, initially, and so have already reached 47% of my allowed upload bandwidth by uploading the same damn photo like 8 times.
I'm looking for something that just lets me drag the originals from iPhoto and not have to futz around with resizing. iPhoto galleries were the easiest, but it eats up space on my webserver; I'd rather have someone else host them, and that means I need new ways to batch-process.
Anyhow, an experiment. I uploaded new photos of Yet More Flowers. I might do some other random photos a bit later, but now have to go to work.
(This is also a test: I am composing this using the "blog this" link on flickr.)
(Test failed: updating from flickr doesn't work even though my username and password for livejournal were triple-checked. So, that doesn't work: two strikes against Flickr so far. However, both strikes may not apply to my mom and dad, so...)
