1) We're roadtripping to Erie PA to see Indigenous. Because really, it's not that far away.
Dave: You know that bit of PA that sticks up, there?
Me: Didn't that used to be part of NY?
Dave: Yeah. It was hotly contested for a while until the Federal Gov't stepped in and just gave it to PA. See, otherwise PA wouldn't have any territory on Lake Erie.
Me: Hotly contested, huh?
Dave: Oh yeah. It was like Kashmir.
Me: Hindus and Moslems?
Dave: Worse. Catholics and Amish.
Me: Ohhh.
Dave: Worst part is, they still haven't got all the landmines out.
2) My best friend from kindergarten finally got a livejournal. It's f-locked though.
3) This bit from Katy's letter.

I'm glad you like it-- bartending as your calling isn't bad-- as long as you get enough time to write. I'm waiting to see your first book published. I can't wait.
