I should probably get going on the To Do list that I'm so lazy I didn't even make yet.
Hmm...

groceries
plan week's meals
pay and mail rest of bills
do laundry
wash dishes
clean kitchen/dinette
tidy bedroom, put away laundry
find out dave's graduation schedule and request time off from work
consult with dave's mom about possible grad party?
find $500 under a rock somehow
miraculously finish novel

Still haven't decided about Indigenous. Should figure out when I have to decide by. Dave not helpful, says, "It's up to you." I suppose it is; I'm the one with the budget.

Wanted to take bike ride today, but it's raining and 40 degrees, so I think not.

I did, so far, clean a bunch of files off my crowded webserver. I now have an entirely empty cgi-bin. Should be helpful, as most of my bandwidth is chewed up by spambots still sucking on the comments.cgi from my long-defunct MovableType site. Stupid spambots; the comments didn't actually ever get posted anywhere anymore. Not after the 493-porn-spam-comments-in-one-day fiasco after which I nuked my own website.

Late last night, in an overpriced-caffeine-fueled haze (in Buffalo, coffee costs more than beer), I put up a new page on my Awrfully Disorganized Website, so now there's at least a mention that I write Elf fanfic. (There are also links that don't link to anything, and numbered lists with no content, but that's just my, erm, web-design aesthetic. Yes.) I'm starting to post second drafts there revised from the rough stuff up at [livejournal.com profile] treigylgweith once they've had at least a going-over-- anyone who's read and commented at [livejournal.com profile] treigylgweith, now you can see that your comments and observations didn't just flit into the aether, but are actually going to be applied towards rewrites! I was listening!-- just to get everything organized. It'll still be somewhat rough, but should be better than what I've posted. (It's always cringe-inducing to go back and look at first drafts, but part of the joy of the writing journal is that I post things in that first flush of "i just wrote this!" so there's at least a kind of enthusiasm to the badness. It's really the only way for me to keep projects organized and interesting to me. So, I do extend heartfelt thanks to anybody who reads over there, even if you don't comment-- although, naturally, moreso if you do, even if you don't have anything particularly insightful to say-- but, of course, more so if you do. :)

Amusingly, the template I used had the code for Google Adsense ads in it (one of these days I'm going to find a topic to write about that will actually make sense to have Adsense on it, but in the meantime, as long as they don't boot me, all is good. I make like $10 a year), and before I've even so much as mentioned the page anywhere, the Adsense bot has been by and spidered it, and I've got ads for "real Elven and Faery Items", whatever those are. Amusing. I'd click on them just to find out what they are, except that'd get me booted from Adsense and I'd hate to lose that point-zero-two cents a day.
