So I'm going to, optimistically, post the Drabble Me Thoroughly meme, seen in![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jennnlee's journal. (And she claims she saw it in spacellama's, and I don't remember it, so I'm kind of a twit, and there you have it.)
Except I don't really like drabbles all that much and have only ever written a few. So, for "drabble" read "short-short, probably sub-300-words" instead. I will try for 100 but discipline has never been my strong point. If the idea doesn't fit, the idea doesn't fit.
Every person on your friends-list gets to request a drabble from you. In return, they have to post this in their journal and write a drabble for you. Post all fandoms you're willing to write for. Your friends can pick a relationship, a story arc, a missing scene, or pretty much anything they want, unless the author has previously mentioned that they will not write it. They comment with what they want, and you write drabbles and post it in your LiveJournal.
Then the original meme listed restrictions the author could impose: fandoms, pairings, ratings they weren't willing to do. I don't have any real objections, that I can think of offhand, to any pairings or ratings.
I'll write slash or het or femmeslash, as I have demonstrated, and the only restriction I can think of is that, well, there are some obscure characters I don't know much about that I'd be hard-pressed to say much about.
Fandoms: I only do LotR/Silm as far as fanfiction goes (ha, except for the Tain and the rest of the Ulster cycle and, well, the Mabinogion, and the Fenian cycle while I'm at it. Any medieval Celtic lit fans, have a field day; they're not fandoms but they ought to be). I'd also love it if anyone cared enough to want to read something from any of my original stuff-- the Vikings Novel or, well, the other one that I doubt anybody's actually read any of my posted excerpts of (well, not unexpected, given that they're community-locked). So anyone who felt left hanging when I stopped my weekly Vikings posts, now's your chance to get plot points in abbreviated format. ^.^
I'll also drabble other people's original fiction if they request it and I've read it. (Would that be cool or weird, to have someone write little bits of fanfic about the stuff you're writing? Kinda incestuous, but also kinda refreshing in that you'd get their perspective on what you're writing. But it's not something I'd attempt without permission.)
