I found the cable to connect my camera to my computer, so now am uploading pictures to my gallery. The first set is from the show last night. I know! I went out!

So I couldn't think of anything I wanted to eat for dinner, and Dave suggested we go to an old hangout of his, the Rendezvous. I thought about it. "We should invite Corey," I said.
"Corey's doing something, I think," Dave said, looking thoughtful. After a few moments wherein I puttered around getting ready, Dave remembered that Corey was playing a show tonight with his new band.
"New band?" I asked, having heard nothing of this. His last band broke up because the lead singer went off to Berklee College of Music, the fucker. (They were Under The Eve and were actually good, especially their awesome 20-minute medley of Nintendo theme songs. That kicked ass. I asked and asked for an mp3 of that but all Corey gave me was the mp3s of their live Led Zeppelin covers. Er, I don't really like Led Zeppelin so the beauty of it was all kind of lost on me. But I do love screaming metal guitar covers of the Super Mario Bros. II theme song. That motherfucker's hard to play, man.)
"Oh yeah," Dave said. "Scott [the drummer from UTE] and Corey are the rhythm section of some new hard-rock band. They're playing at some motel in Niagara Falls."

So we went to the Vous for dinner, but each only had one drink, and then went to this dive in NF (Corey, dude, you gotta start playing in Erie Co. at least. NF is a hole) and sat in a packed little concert space to watch the band. Yes, they were harder than UTE, but that didn't stop them from doing a cover of the "Ghostbusters" theme song complete with a trumpet. Unfortunately the lead singer had no idea what the words were to the song and just repeated the opening verse over and over. Too bad. Nobody else noticed, so it was all good.

I only got photos towards the end, when it dawned on me that I brought the camera for a reason and that reason was twofold: 1) I really like taking pictures of bands performing, and 2) if they're a new band they probably don't have any pictures of themselves. So I got off my ass and took some photos. Those, I have posted, here:

Corey P's new band Glassline, playing live at the Evening Star (?) in Niagara Falls

The second set is from around the house. See, it's kinda springtime now, so there are, like, flowers and plants and stuff, and I'm excited about them.
So I took a bunch of pictures of my crocuses, and I think my daffodils are totally gonna bloom soon which is awesome. (Well. The ones that are up, anyway.) The neighbor has daffodils blooming already, and I don't know what she did that I didn't. Except maybe they're different varieties. All mine are different-- they were a Burpee sampler pack of some sort. (Also, hers are in sunnier locations.)
Other subjects of photos include the fact that the lilac bush in the front yard (which gets tons of sun) has buds on it, and the Drainage Project. The Drainage Project consists of a hole full of standing water with a hose in it, and the other end of the hose down the driveway in the street. It's been dripping nonstop for a bit over two days now and the yard is... wet but not as squashy as it was. So there's hope that it'll eventually be totally effective. Well, we'll see. It's still not dry enough that I want to get digging.

So... Springtime At My House: An Update
