Mar. 28th, 2005 05:58 pmQuizzical small dog watches me attempt to collect myself.
I've spent much of the day on housework and yet have failed to get anything significant done. I read bizarre blogs while the laundry was doing its things, I went on a walk to the post office that was far, far longer than I had planned (I forgot just how long the street is; sure the post office is just down it, but all the way down it), and by the time I had done some more laundry, it was time to walk the dog over to Dave's mom's house so she could eat dinner.
Bert's had more walks today alone, in sheer number of steps walked, than she had in the last six months, I'd wager. She doesn't get walks except when I take her. She's frustrating to walk, because she doesn't walk fast, and stops to sniff everything, but doesn't even get excited; just focused on sniffing. Bah.
I want to take a good, hard, assessing look at the Barbarians Novel today but it's already late, and I'm already tired and feel like my brain doesn't work. Bleah.
Brain worked well enough to puzzle out a bus schedule. I'm going to have to get in at 10:17 every morning next week so I can start work at 11. The next bus doesn't come until 11:56, which is just a leetle beet more than the 10 minute window we're allowed to punch in late.
And as far as getting home... If I get out at seven on the dot, I can catch the 7:06 to get home, but if I'm ten minutes late I have to wait for the 8:28. Mm, yeah. That'll be fun. Apparently this bus schedule was designed to Totally Not Mesh With CA1's Scheduling. Yay.
Bert still doesn't know what to make of my incomprehensible sitting-on-the-bed-working-at-the-computer behavior. She's sort of... pacing. Now, given that she's had more exercise today than in months, I'd sort of expected she'd pass out by now, but what do I know?
Pff. Go ahead, woman. Try to concentrate. We're all just going to laugh at you. (By "we" I don't actually know who I mean, as I don't think anybody's reading this lately, not even me to judge by the banal crap I've been putting up on here.)
