I also awoke suffering from a backache, probably from either not getting off my ass all 'weekend' or from twisting it to save myself from going hurtling down the basement stairs with a huge basket of laundry yesterday. (Oh yeah. I'd forgotten about the latter.)

Dave woke up and came into my room, incoherently sleepy, dishevelled, and in his underpants. He proceeded to climb into my bed, under my covers, and to curl himself around my back. He is now asleep with his face beside my hip. (I am sitting at the foot of my bed using the computer.)

He's doing a remarkable job as a heating pad. My back hardly hurts at all. And he's so cute, and asleep, and beardy.


Almost I can find in my heart to forgive him for the fact that I spent all morning yesterday doing the dishes he suddenly abandoned two weeks ago. And the fact that when he opens and empties a can, he then puts that can into the sink and leaves it there for a week instead of simply rinsing it and chucking it in the handy recycle bin right next to the sink. And when he empties a container of juice he puts the top back on and sets it beside the sink rather than removing the lid and chucking the container into the recycle bin right next to the sink. And when he empties a pop can he leaves it on the table or the coffee table instead of taking it down to the basement to put it in the box where the returnables go. And when he drinks a glass of juice he leaves the empty glass wherever he happened to have set it down last, rather than taking it to the sink.

But he's so cute.

Yeah, I think it's biology conspiring to make me dumb.
But if you saw him you'd say 'aww' too.

Heh, Trevor does those things too. I thought it was just him. He also ignores the trash can right next to the couch (I moved it there just for him) and puts disgusting things like used tissues and junk mail on the floor or the coffee table instead of the trash can. I ask him why and he can give me no answer except to say that he is "saving it" to do "later." I ask him why he can't just do it now and he says I'm too now-oriented. *sigh*
