pros and cons
Mar. 9th, 2005 06:37 pmI always have such great ideas in the shower.
Especially when I've just been lying in bed for three hours mostly asleep attempting to mentally work my way through a story.
But... too many ideas! This story looks to be far more ambitious than I have time for, after all. :/
Well, I'll keep outlining and maybe someday i'll come back to it. (In the meantime, can I sell anyone a rather complex and vicious plotbunny about the Nirnaeth Arnoediad and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder? I could even leave the Kinslaying of Alqualonde out of this version for you...)
In other news, have entirely squandered this day off and am feeling excellent about it. Perhaps I'll do a little laundry now, though. Once I put clothes on. (No, i'm not dressed yet. Why do you even need to ask? I have no clean socks or underwear. I can't get dressed until I do laundry; can't do laundry until I get dressed, and am feeling rather smugly immobile about the catch-22.)
And in yet other news, I should thank Corey for letting me borrow this album. Regina Spektor is sort of growing on me after three or four listens. I still don't know what the hell she's talking about, and think she's utterly bizarre, but some of her imagery is oddly compelling and the little eccentricities like repeating herself in whispers and making drum-machine noises with her mouth are kind of... endearing.
