Hello, family -
Yes, we're getting all our questions answered now, but I'm sure we'll have a bunch after they leave too. Then we'll learn by trial - always fun. I have half of the office now, so at least it's something - we're still working on a phone, but we do have one internet line. That should help with the more frequent email, mom.
According to the Cav, it has been very quiet here - they haven't had a serious incident in over a month, which is good, but almost suspicious. Hopefully it will stay this way, but I guess we'll find out. The elections actually did help the whole situation from our perspective, and again, hopefully it will last.
I got a package from you yesterday - Adam and I split all the magazines. He got the Bon Appetite first, though. And the Burt's Bees is fun to play with - some good stuff. I like the dry hand stuff the best - I still have the stuff you bought me last time I was here - goat's milk, maybe?
And I bet Vinnie is with 10th Mountain - you said he was at Drum, right? There are a couple 10th Mountain patches running around. Including our Finance commander, but I know there are others.
Anyway, Adam is currently helping one of my adopted lietenants write a sworn statement - we're already having issues with contracts and FOO money (FOO money is the $20,000 in cash that the army gives us to pay locals for things off the economy), but it should be resolved after this one hiccup. Crazy stuff.
We're about done, so I love you all, and I'll write again soon.
