Hey dad -
  The elections didn't really affect us that much down here in Kuwait - SSG Holt and Adam were up north, and the big thing is that they didn't allow any locals on post for a few days.  We're very hopeful, though - I hope they kick us out.  I really wouldn't mind.
  I'm glad Scout's doing well - I have a big picture of her on my computer screen, so I see her every day.  It's been busy lately - we're trying to get our vehicles armored before they convoy up - we start lining up for the first one tomorrow.  It looks like I'll be flying, though - my truck has been confiscated by the security platoon as a security vehicle.  I don't mind, but I wouldn't mind driving up either just to see the country.  Oh, well.  I'll let you know.
  Adam says everything is nice up there - apparently he's right across the street from where I'll be staying.  We get to continue the tradition of eating and running together - I'm very happy.
   I must go see how armoring is going and find the last of our equipment.  Hope everything is going well at home!!  I'll talk to you soon.
