dragonlady7OK, I still haven't written Ch. 5. It needs restructuring again. Bah.
But, I did go through the rest of the original alpha manuscript and sort out the chapter breaks. The end needs a full rewrite, and in fact after chapter 10 it all needs to be rewritten. But the plot only shifts subtly, which is immensely encouraging, and almost no other actual events need to happen-- just rewritings, revisions of the ones that have already been laid out. So that's encouraging.
But if anyone's keeping score, now I know when things happen!
Chapter 6, coming up quite soon, is the first scene with any action in it, though it's relatively chaste. You have to wait until Chapter 9 for any hot stuff. But after that point I seem to average a sex scene every other or every third chapter, so maybe it is a romance novel after all...
I've also got the soundtrack picked out for the next six weeks, which was fun to do. (I'm putting up soundtrack mp3s and tentative chapter titles on my music page. They're not spoilers, they're teasers, and there's a difference.)
So anyhow. Maybe I don't have any new writing to show for today, but I am better-organized.
