Quote of the Day
Jan. 24th, 2005 02:34 pmIt is snowing here, again. Not blizzard snow, but fluffy snow-- still not suitable for building things. Am sorely disappointed, as I wanted to build something large and inappropriate out of the snow in our front yard. (Mary on the Half Shell, only she's really Wonder Woman? The Pieta, using Disney characters? An anatomically-correct snow man? You'd have to know my neighborhood [southern Tonawanda near Kenmore] to get why that's the most compelling selection, but trust me it'd be funny.)
I would like to share yet another Hunter S. Thompson quote, this one from his ESPN Page2 column. Dave's got it up as an away message, which is amusing.
In that vein, I offer humbly a collection of photos taken recently:
Ice, Thruway Blizzard, Scout, Melrose, Snow: Jan 2005.

I have always loved blizzards, if only because of the driving experience — which is definitely an acquired taste.
