Just posting again to say that I forgot to mention: I got to watch another antique X-files episode today.
That show was so great.
It was just great.
This was the episode with the liver-fluke-attacking-people-in-Newark's-sewers Man.
Brilliance!
Scully's hair? With bangs? And her big round glasses?
Brilliance!
And the closing shot of the big worm doing scary things, and then it pulls back to focus on the sign by the side of the road: "Live Bait"-- Brilliance!
What a great show of awesome awfulness. With just the right air of pointless paranoia. That was some TV. And then the game came on and I was doomed to football the rest of the afternoon. Bah! At least Randy Moss got his. Take that, ya rude little exhibitionist bastard! Who are you showing your ass to now? Huh? Huh? Go home! If $10,000 is nothing to you, donate it to charity! If common courtesy is nothing to you, then what do you do now that you can't catch a ball and you're just a little punk? If you're gonna bring it, you better be good. Punk.

It's one thing to spike the ball in an emotional moment when you've just scored a touchdown. It's another thing to celebrate every single freaking time you do your job. Yay, I'm a defensive goon and I just tackled the receiver! I just earned my salary! I will now dance!
So I poured the man a club-soda-and-lemon and did a victory dance. "I did my job! Sweet! One more non-alcoholic beverage in my stats!" and I'm moonwalking behind the bar (in my uncoordinated, white girl who can't dance at all kind of way).
He thought that was funny.
There were no Fox Mulder glasses in this episode. Just Scully looking studious with her giant cover-half-her-face glasses.
Funny how glasses change in fashion so much. The photos of me from high school are un-viewable because of the cover-half-my-face glasses. Currently I don't even notice my little-square glasses in photos of myself, but I just know in 10 years I'm going to cringe at all those pictures. ("I had contacts! Why didn't I put them in? I looked like such a freak!")
