Winter Hot Drink Recipes
Nov. 13th, 2004 09:17 pmNow that winter is coming in, it's important for those of us in the colder climates to keep warm.
With that in mind, I humbly present to you the recipe of the evening for our household. Bert and I are sitting on the couch while Dave whips this up in the kitchen.
1/2 oz. Kahlua
1/2 oz. Bailey's Irish Creme
1/2 oz. Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or Triple Sec
1 cup of coffee, hot.
Mix ingredients together, and drink.
Garnish with fresh whipped cream.
Variations:
When, like us, you lack a coffee maker, substitute hot chocolate for the coffee.
Additional variation:
1/4 oz. Kahlua
1/4 oz. Bailey''s
1/4 oz. Triple Sec
1/4 oz. Amaretto
1 c. coffee (or hot chocolate).
Along the lines of the above, take everything from your liquor cabinet that tastes all right with chocolate.
Combine it.
Put it into a well-heated thermos.
Bring with you, along with hot water bottles, blankets, fleeces, and Feeter Heeters.
Sit on the Bills' side. Hopefully by the time it's cold enough that your toes have fallen off, you're too drunk to notice.
I'll have more winter drink recipes as we experiment. This is as far as I feel justified in going, as we've only had one actual snow so far (although yesterday, there were flakes in the air......)

If I understand this correctly, you drink the B-52 Coffee, then garnish with the fresh whipped cream.
What you garnish would be... each other?
Sounds fine to me. Time to fire up the Capresso again.
I do believe these may be the lovely Snork Maiden and her current beau Bubbatroll:
Found this as an entry in the Render of the Month competition on the DAZ website

Hmm........
I don't think that's the Snork Maiden. Moomins and Snorks don't wear clothing, as a general rule. ^.^
