picture of the day
Nov. 12th, 2004 11:28 pmOK, I've totally lost my Picture of the Day credibility by letting that program lapse for, oh, a month. No, more. So, Picture Of The Era, I guess.
But anyway.
I was going to do that meme where you post a pretty happy shiny picture that's not politics, but no, this isn't it. I'm going to just post in my classic Picture of the Day format (for the like three days that I did it).
So here's my thumbnail:
The picture's behind the cut, being 800something pixels wide.
This is a photo of my workspace of last night. The purple blanket was covering me. I got up and took the picture. Yes, I fit in that little space. that's my computer monitor in the front. And yes, that's where Dave spent yesterday evening.
Yes, i was writing porn. No, he didn't help. But I will admit that I pet his hair whenever I took my hands off the keyboard. And his hair smelled good.
My workspace is the same now except that the dog is there instead of Dave, and her legs are a lot shorter. I asked her just now if she wanted to go outside and she gave me a pretty definite No.

Yes, that's my stuffed panda he's holding. He insisted on that stuffed panda, which I had to retrieve from across the room, rather than on any of the myriad of stuffed penguins or monkeys already on the couch (and yes, he tested each one and rejected it). It's just the right size.
it was given to me by an ex. Dave sleeps with it a lot.
He's the cutest boy ever.
That was him crashing hard after a long day (the last day of his second-last quarter) of classes. Today he's spent the whole day with his Objective C Face on. Objective C is a programming language in which he excels, the primary language in which most programs for Macintosh OS X computers are written. He's doing something incredibly complex for his Computer Music class. And yes, it has a stainless-steel-look graphical interface, just like iTunes and the rest. It's cute and funny and way, way over my head. The face, on the other hand-- that's just scary. He's like crazy-focused when he's Objective C'ing.
But compared to his Reverse Engineering Face, the Objective C Face is like a basket of cuddly puppies.
Yes. My cutest boy ever is actually a formidably intelligent man, and quite intimidating despite his penchant for sleeping, well, anywhere. Which is why I'm at the other end of the house. And not showing him the cute pictures I took of him while he was sleeping.
But anyway.

Date: 2004-11-16 02:53 pm (UTC)Yours is cute too, btw-- I looked at the pictures but didn't leave a comment-- and you look very cute with him. :)
I keep taking pictures even though it annoys him.
So far today i think I've only photographed him once, though. (I got him about 5 times last night, snuggling with the stuffed monkey (http://www.livejournal.com/users/dragonlady7/464262.html#cutid1) his mom bought him in Florida. I haven't downloaded those from the camera yet but I will ruthlessly post the good ones when I do. Mua ha ha ha.)
