No, no, no, no, I didn't mean any of that personally. I was merely expressing frustration. Jeez. I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!
I don't have anything personal about Florida.

I was calling Osama out over his shameless expedience-- he is only political now because he is stealing people's reasonable arguments to make himself look better, and if he actually meant it he would have targeted at least a battleground state.
I chose Orlando out of thin air. I could have said Salt Lake City, and in fact probably should have.
(NO OFFENSE TO UTAH. It's just they're the one I can most easily remember offhand having a large red margin.)

I don't have a huge hate on for Florida, it's just that the suspense was killing me and I posted that as soon as they announced it. I can take the entry down, if you'd prefer. I thought you were joking, because I meant it in jest, or at least in ... you know, frustration.

I really, truly, am sorry. i wasn't thinking terribly clearly. I think I was crying at the time.

It's your journal, there's no reason to censor anything. It just seems like you're throwing out a lot of fuck yous, to liberals, conservatives, and Floridians, and since I'm two of the three, I reacted. No big.

And on 9/11, Orlando was very afraid of being hit. Disneyworld would make a really good target.

Yes, and I'm thinking a little more clearly and thinking I need to tone them down a bit.
Because it *is* my journal, but others read it too, and it's not very considerate.
I simply meant them as expressions of distress and frustration.
But they come across as very confrontational.

Hence the need to edit.

But that's not really what I want either. People who read my journal are my friends and I am glad when people read it.

Saying things I don't mean because my feelings are deeply hurt may well be justified-- after all, it is a journal-- but it doesn't really help anyone, and it only hurts me in the end because then fewer people read my journal.

I'm just going back and making sure that I meant the things I said and said the things I actually meant to. There are quite a few places where I said things that really weren't what I meant to say. They sounded right to me at the time, but not now that I look at them again.
