dragonlady7Those who know me well must certainly be aware that if I claimed to be a non-violent person, I would be lying.
That said, I would like to disclaim here that I do not actually intend to harm anyone.
But through most of today, I have been filled, in varying concentrations, with the desire to savagely beat everyone responsible for the code, layout, design, interface, and distribution of Adobe InDesign CS for Mac.
WHO came up with these god-damned inscrutable little boxes instead of menu items?????
AURGHAGGHHH.
I have felt absolutely retarded ALL DAY. I have successfully designed websites in the past. Indeed, it was part of my job for most of last year. (You might note, if I were to divulge the search terms necessary, that that site retains its #1 placement in Google's search results for certain important search terms. But I don't think I shall divulge them as of now.) I am a Dreamweaver whiz kid.
But, I don't have Dreamweaver. I have InDesign.
BLEURGH.
Poor Dave has helped as well as he can. But the dominant ethos of my design has had to become "Hey, whatever!" I put a table in and it broke the layout box again? Pfeh, it's art. Embrace the accidental, as my high school art-and-art-history teacher (the man who taught me to bullshit) used to say. (He'd then give me a C for doing so, and thereby became the man who taught me bitter cynicism as well.)
So, I'm embracing the accidental. Woot. This is going to be one hell of a website.
