rattling windows
Oct. 31st, 2004 06:42 amthe wind has been gusting all night, rattling the windows and waking me up. I still haven't put the storm windows down-- I should have yesterday, as it was like seventy degrees out-- so I'm hoping that when I do get the storms down, the windows won't rattle so much. At least there's no cold breeze coming in them. At the house in Rochester, we used to heat the downstairs to 65, and it would be 75 upstairs, with nice refreshing cool breezes from the windows, and I was like... wait just a darn tootin minute here...
So my second winter I plastic-wrapped all the windows, but it didn't really solve the problem. The plastic wrap on the west windows upstairs used to bulge and billow and I had to use duct-tape reinforcements to keep it from splitting.
So, none of that in this house.
Yes, this is a mundane observation. I am in the midst of redesigning my website to deal with the sudden absence of my blogs, and I am feeling exceedingly stupid. I used to work on websites for money, but that doesn't mean I feel competent. Quite the opposite.
So, I gotta keep things simple.
Now that I don't get comment spam, I have to say I don't get much email at all...
