This is Gram, at the end of August.
I suppose I'd best give a quick Dramatis Personae of the pictures.
Dave: my boyfriend.
Mrs. K: his mom.
Gram: Dave's dad's mother.
Jean: Dave's dad's older sister. Her husband is Tim.
Julie and Jenny: Jean's daughters. Julie's husband is Louie, and their daughter is Kailyn. Jenny's husband is Marty, and their daughter is Meredith. Meredith and Kailyn are both almost three.
Carol: Dave's dad's older sister. (She has four children but none were present at the party.)
The music from the school dance and bonfire is making my windows rattle. As Dave put it, "it's good to know suburbanites can appreciate the raw street cred of Jay-Z."
