i am sleepy and groggy. I seem to be off my sleep schedule. Big surprise, there.
I am making excellent progress on the new novel. I sat down this morning and wrote up a whole supporting cast, with all kinds of great details. I think I'm on a roll.
Of course, I have other things to do today.
I have to go to the DMV and re-register my car in my own name with my proof of insurance, and pay them the sales tax. I dreamed, incidentally, that I paid my parents extra for the car because I love them, and then I wondered if I'd have to pay extra sales tax. I do need to find the receipt they wrote me.
Then I need to go with Dave to his mom's house and clean out her garage and get the rest of our stuff, while he watches chemistry videos. (We don't have a VCR, see.)
Then I have more stuff to set up around the house.
Then I need to find people to come check out about a dozen bars with me, that I want to get a feel for to see if I should try working there.
Then I need to make up a list of the ones that I think might want me, and go to all of them during the day tomorrow.
Then I need to call all the banquet halls in a fifteen-mile radius and ask them if they need a bartender.
And in the meantime I think I have some laundry to do. And the living room's a disaster area. And the fish need their water changed. And I need to make a hidey-hole for Gibson out of a film cannister so that he doesn't flip out with his agoraphobia.
And somewhere in there I wanted to finally watch Pirates of the Carribbean, since I rented it.
But, I am sitting and working on my novel, while Dave reads old issues of loaded that I brought back from Scotland and just found in a box in my room.
