I am overwhelmed by two-stroke engines.
Both my neighbors are simultaneously mowing their lawns.

I just sneezed and my keyboard fell off my lap and almost off the bed. it wasn't even a good sneeze. Oh the tragedy.

I still miss that damn dog. I did get an email from Katy saying that the website of pictures of the dog made her night, which was nice. Mom said she showed the pictures to everyone at her lunch table (there's a computer right next to the dining table in the teacher's lounge) and everyone oohed and ahhed, though she didn't specify whether they enjoyed the cuteness of the dog or the virtuosity of the photographer. I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't figure out the camera's settings better, to get fewer unusable motion blurs and fewer improperly light-metered scenes (I knew those pictures in the woods would be underexposed, and yet, didn't have the instruction manual with me, nor did I have the time to look it up even if I had... Bah)-- Dave keeps coming in and mentioning all these cool things the camera can do (such as predictive focusing on moving objects) and I haven't the foggiest notion of how to get it to do that. The book's right there! Ah well. One of these days I will have both subjects to photograph and time to figure them out. I retrieved my tripod from home, so maybe I'll set it up and do some more work with it.

As far as being productive goes, I actually organized the bathroom, putting all the hairties in one place, all the skin care products in one place, all the contact lens things in one place, and so on and so forth. But I have a zillion other things to do and all I want to work on is replotting the novel. Bah.

Now one neighbor is mowing and the other weed-whacking. Yowza, it's mindbending.
