pictures from the Digital Rebel
Sep. 11th, 2004 11:49 amSo, the new camera is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel.
I just got the factory lens for it because it was like $20 in the kit. I may get a lens with some more zoom, but for the moment, since I've mostly been taking pictures of interiors, the 18-55mm lens is fine. (my old film SLR has a 55mm lens, so I'm used to that. Spent a lot of time backed into corners trying to get a shot of something I was far too close to.)
I spent this morning playing with it, and almost every shot was taken in the automatic but no flash mode. I am not entirely sure how to control the camera's other modes at the moment, and so have been sticking to that one in the interests of controlled experimentation. I hate using a flash, and so that's probably going to be my mode of choice pretty often. It is a decent flash, though. Of which I am glad.
So, clicky the massive thumbnail (i didn't fix that setting when I autogenerated the pages, whoops) to see the rest of the photos of really mundane things I took this morning. :)
