OK. UPS can make a delivery up until 7 p.m.
We have sat here all day, not going anywhere, not doing anything, because we were waiting for UPS to make the delivery.
We had plans to do half a dozen different things, but all involved both of us leaving the house, and we didn't want to miss the delivery.
The last plan we had for the day was to go to Dave's mom's house for dinner at 6.
It is now 6. UPS has not arrived.
They loaded the package onto the truck for delivery 12 hours ago.
Dave has gone to his mom's house, and I am to come on over once the package arrives.
Why do I have a strong feeling I will be sitting here until 7 and then coming over empty-handed?
Great.
You know, those UPS tracking things? Totally useless. You can find out what city the package is in, with astonishing precision. But you know, that's really totally useless and doesn't actually tell you when you should wait for the delivery man.
All day long I have heard trucks stopping in the street and have gone to look to see if it was them. It hasn't been (duh).
This is TORTURE.
And I've just wasted an entire day. A beautiful day, might I add, of bright sun and moderate heat. We sat outside for a while, but there's only so much you can do outside. I started planning my gardening for the fall and spring, but again, there was only so much I could do.
