Yes, I've actually updated a story on HASA. It's a 'beta' story, and is thus only visible to members there, but I know many of you are, so...

Non-fanficcers, feel free to skip. Behind the cut is dorky things. Non-HASA interested parties, do feel free to continue. If you're interested I'll post the story where you can read it.

On a non-fanfic note, I'm listening to Isaac Hayes, and am finding it unexpectedly enjoyable. (I'm on a quest to listen to all the music I can't bear to throw out but haven't listened to either.)

I deleted five or six chapters of "Blood-Heat", the story that deals with Eomer and Lothiriel's marriage. I then added two. The first one, "etiquette", is a little preview of several things-- first, how important Faramir is becoming to this story. Second, it sets up an early strain in the power dynamic of E&L's marriage. It's mostly supposed to be amusing, but it should be a preview of much that is to come.

No, I'm not slashing Eomer and Faramir. Not in this story, anyway.

"among the dogs" is based on the quote by Saruman about the house of eorl being "a thatched hut where brigands drink in the reek and their brats roll on the floor among their dogs"-- Y'know, that sounds like where I grew up?
But I doubt Lothiriel's experienced anything like it. So it deals with her having to adjust to many of the realities of life in a largely agricultural society.

Chapter 3 is a remnant of the previous draft, and is still smut.

In between chapter 2 and chapter 3 I will have to put their wedding night, but it takes me so long to write smut that I don't expect I'll have it up soon, unless popular demand, well, demands it. (Not that I expect it to-- I don't really have popular demand, and what little I do is mostly scandalized by my attempts at smut.)

I said more in a post in my discussion forum, if anyone wants to contribute there.

I was considering making a space on my own website to post my beta stories if any non-HASA members are interested in reading them. Or, alternately, putting things up on fanfiction.net or otherwise. But I don't know if there is anyone interested outside of HASA, and I am a lazy webdesigner, so I have not yet done so.
