I had never speculated on the cause-effect relationship there. I wish I had thought of it, because I would have nixed the thunder idea because it means the dog got me up at 3, dammit.
I shall have to find the person who wrote the program and enquire as to the actual cause-effect relationship there, because it won't do for my weather to be determined by some pixie.
