coefficient of friction of a beagle
Aug. 1st, 2004 10:18 amPoor Bert. She's getting blogged again.
Sitting in the living room, on the couch. Dave's standing in the doorway, talking to me. Bert is wandering the room, watching us.
She sits down, looking up at Dave and listening to him speak.
It is a well-polished hardwood floor. Her butt is fuzzy. Slowly, her rear end slides backwards across the floor, because her forelegs are at a bit of an angle. So she takes a step back with her forelegs to avoid falling over.
Her butt continues to slowly slide backwards. Unperturbed, she takes another step, still watching Dave.
We begin to laugh at her. Somewhat confused, she looks from one of us to the other, as her butt continues to slide backwards across the floor and she continues to take occasional steps backwards with her front feet to stay upright.
She manages to miss the chair behind her and continue sliding past it...
Eventually she stands up because we're laughing so hard and she can't figure out what's so funny.
