I just don't update much. So I'm going to do a livejournal-like meme, for something to do.

I have a lot to say. But I have severe attention-span problems. Blame the Internet. I do. :)

1. What is your middle name? Siobhan. Bonus points if you can pronounce it.

2. If you had been born the other sex, did your parents tell you what your name would have been? No, but I remember that if my youngest sister (I have only sisters) had been a boy she probably would have been, unimaginatively, either John or Peter, after my father or uncle. Snore...

3. Do you have children and if so, what are their names? Nope, no sprogs.

4. If you were to ever have a child or more children, what would you name them?
Hmmm.... Visvaldis for a boy, and Chevette for a girl.
I'm kidding.
Maybe.

5. Most people know their mother's maiden name, but do you know your grandmother's maiden name?

Oh yes. My mom's mother is a genealogist and gave me her binder of family trees. Her maiden name was Denison. Her mother's maiden name was Zeh. Her mother's maiden name was Carpenter. Her mother's maiden name was Vanderberg. That takes us back to 1846 and that's probably enough in that family line. Perhaps I just should have said "yes" and been done with it...

6. Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?
Probably. Well, no. I had sisters, see, and cats, and chickens, and dogs, and horses. It was only in junior high when I started my first novel that I had anything approaching imaginary friends. I still have those...

7. What was the name of your first pet?
Cupcake and Biscuit came at roughly the same time I was born, and we were a matched set, brown-and-white kitten, puppy, and baby. (I have two largish brown birthmarks, which were larger when i was little, so... we all matched.)

9. What was the name of the first person you ever kissed?
I kissed family members all the time. My first romantic kiss happened when I was 18. Her name was Ursula.

10. What was the name of the school you attended as a child?
Hoosic Valley Central School, and for high school Emma Willard School. I don't know if I counted as a child anymore, but after that I went to St. Leonard's School in Scotland on an exchange program.

11. What was/is the name of your English teacher in high school?
Which year?
Ms McNamara was my favorite and most frequent.

12. Do you name your vehicles? What are the name(s)?
No, not really. I drove a minivan dubbed The Penguinmobile because I was the Penguin Queen at that point. Now I drive Prius, Dave's Toyota Prius. Very creative. (Pronounced, btw, PREE-us, in proper Latin fashion.)
