the third week of little blue pills

I don't know if it's hormones, or the fact that I spent all of yesterday writing the tragic courtship scene between my hero and heroine (I swear to God it is NOT as cheesy as it sounds in the plot synopsis I posted), or what, but this morning as Dave was getting ready to go to work I was overwhelmed with the need to be snuggled. I just urgently, thoroughly required physical displays of affection. Now, i knew that 8:06 am on a drizzly Friday was not the time for this, because Dave leaves at about 10 after and hadn't brushed his teeth yet. So I stood mournfully in the doorway to my bedroom and watched him rush around, and sighed, and when he asked what I was doing, explained my state of mind.
"Wait just a minute," he said, and went into his bedroom. I heard rummaging. He came out and handed me my stuffed panda. "Wait," he repeated, and went to the coffee table in the living room and found my vibrator*.
He handed me the stuffed panda and the vibrator. "There you go," he said, and went to work.

Ah yes. There you have part of what goes along with dating the super-smart, witty, computer-geek types who aren't really that into touching people.

(*Note: this vibrator may have been intended for sexual purposes, but I've only ever used the thing for scalp massages. I'm serious. It's one of those little hand-held "mini-massager" things that's about the size of your thumb and is more powerful than anything I'd care to apply to my thingy, thanks very much. It's awesome for muscle-tension headaches, though. I kind of have one of those now... Hmmm... bzzzzzz. Ahhh.)
