Christmas List
Nov. 20th, 2003 11:52 amThis is intended for the relatives and friends with which I'm engaging in gift exchanges this year.
Not that this should stop any of my anonymous admirers from buying me presents mind you, but I sort of don't have any anonymous admirers, so that's not really the main focus of this entry.
This has been revised numerous times. If you're confused, please do contact me. I know it's long. Feel free to skim. Or just buy me something else. I'm never ungrateful.
OK, I highlighted the stuff I *really* want a *lot* with asterisks. I know, it's getting ridiculous. Guess the prospect of getting things makes me excited.
Kitchen
A set of cannisters for the kitchen (flour, sugar, etc.)-- Mom, you were right.
Embarrassing Necessaries
*Socks. (I'm a women's size 9-9 1/2.) Black athletic socks, white athletic socks, fuzzy socks, socks with penguins on them, socks with polar bears on them, socks with Grinches on them-- anything that tickles your fancy. I'm low on socks. You can never have too many socks.
Underwear. Bikini-cut, cotton or satin, size 7. All of mine decided to lose their elastic at once.
*****Frederick's Lace Full-Figure Bra-- size 36F, color red/black, black, white-- this is the best bra ever. EVER. on sale!****
(These are also tried, tested, true, and always welcome: Lace Embroidered Bra, Smooth Sensation Full-- on sale!)
**Venus razor refill cartridges
A box of those Oil of Olay face-cleaning cloth thingies-- I had to cut 'em from the budget but gosh they're nice to have.
Shoes
**Land's End Lightweight All Weather Mocs, size 9, color Mahogany.
I would *love* a pair of knee-high, black or brown leather boots with a low-to-medium wide square heel. I have been looking for a pair for three years but I don't go shopping often enough. I have thinner ankles and fatter calves than most, apparently, so haven't found a pair. They could be plain or lace up or zip up; I don't care. I've just always wanted a pair and have never had one. (Size nine or nine 1/2.)
Miscellaneous
Office supplies: I go nuts for office supplies... Dave won't let me go into Staples anymore. (I'm a sucker for different-colored pens. I had to join a twelve-step program. I miss those pens...) I especially need file folders and the such to organize my projects and carry them around in my backpack and the like. And Post-Its-- you can never have too many Post-Its.
iTunes Music Store Gift Card
the new BareNaked Ladies CD
a watering can
VoodooPad. I have the free version and can't live without it.
black print cartridge for Canon S-630 DeskJet Printer
BBEdit 7.0 (i have a serial# for 6.5 so i could buy the update. i'll probably buy it for myself, but it's on the list for now anyhow.)
Old Navy
****Old Navy Performance Fleece Hooded Pullover, size XL, color Blueberry.
***Stretch Boot Cut Jeans Size 16 long, color blue or dark blue. Had a pair of these. Wore them out. Hmm... Actually these look good too-- Stretch Curvy Boot-cut jeans-- don't properly know the difference but they sound comfy.
**Old Navy Pinstripe Lace-Up Essential Trousers, color black pinstripe, size 16. Dude, those look awesome.
Perfect Tee Shirt size XL, color Heather Green, Blue, Purple, or Black. You can never have enough just plain decent T-shirts.
Foldover Waist Yoga Pants, color Lilac, size XL.
Basic Camisole size XL color Heather Gray. I have one of these in pink and it's the most comfortable thing ever.
Zip-Vent Cargo Capris, color Olive, size 16-- I have been wanting a pair of these for ages and never found one.
Scrunch-Pocket Cargo Pants-- these look comfy. Size 16, color Blue.
****Stretch Boot-Cut Cords size 16, color Chocolate-- I had a pair of these in college and wore them until they tore right through. I loved them so much.*****
Stretch Twill Essential Pants: color Black, size 16 Long (Old Navy's regulars tend to hit at the top of my ankle, which is a bit geeky.) Man, i could wear those anywhere!
Old Navy Striped Low-Button Shirt in Blue Stripe, size Large.
