i'm perusing an online Old Norse dictionary to gain inspiration for the language of some of the people in the novel i'm writing.

You know how the Eskimos have 49 words for snow, because they have so much of it?


Old Norse has over a dozen words that I've found so far for sexual intercourse.

Funny, I've only found one word so far for "cut off a man's head and spit in his neck"...
