blog is being fixed this weekend
Jan. 23rd, 2004 02:35 pmi'm so behind in everything...
but the novel is going well...
but i have to start scheduling work on it so that everything else catches up...
yes.
ok.
sigh.
So, I'm going to make blogging the process a regular thing. I don't think I'm the first to blog my novel-writing, but I hope I can do it well at least.
Oof, i'm tired. I'm getting burnt out already. Sigh.
But anyway. i'm finally successfully on unemployment, and I'm going great guns on the novel when i can keep my eyes focused.
Yesterday I did some laundry and made an exotic dinner in honor of it being chinese new year. with my freeform associative skills, i made thai coconut curry chicken, because that's so... Chinese. Sure.
Anyway. One of Dave's coworkers, a wacky Chinese-American, gave him $2 in a red and gold envelope with an injunction to spend it on candy, so with that as his impetus he's going to go to Foodmart International in Spring Valley with me, and we're going to buy bizarre japanese candies. Any requests, anyone?
In gratitude, Dave waved his monkey finger puppet at her and said "monkey monkey monkey monkey!" Which she thought was hysterical. He did the same to his boss, and the guy just sat there staring at him. Which conclusively proves who in that office is cool, i suppose.
All the others studiously avoided noticing that Dave had a finger-puppet monkey protruding from his shirt pocket, much to his disappointment.
Either that or we're going to go and see some kind of a museum tomorrow, in the City, and maybe get us some ramen at rai-rai ken. But, maybe not. Who knows...the future lies bright ahead.
