dragonlady7Drove back from Pennsic last night, squeaking offsite just after dark. On the way home I started getting drowsy with about an hour left to drive, so I alternated pinching myself, slapping myself, rolling the window down, yoga breathing, and finally hit on eating a granola bar, which did the trick. In the interim I changed lanes abruptly several times and nearly rear-ended poor Z, so, that was probably not the best idea. It's becoming an unfortunate annual tradition, however.
I can't really write up a War Report yet, it's too much, but I will say I had a lovely, if stressful, time, and have escaped largely free of injury. Astonishingly, I also still have a voice, so that's pretty awesome and weird.
Gotta unpack the car. I already have all the kitchen towels soaking in bleach because ew. As is the case with every year, I'm totally astonished that we managed to get *everything* packed up.
I've already showered once but I'm so getting right back in there in a minute to re-shower. Because I was so incredibly gross. I actually felt weird going into the gas station to use their toilet, i was so visibly filthy. While washing my hands after using the facilities I glanced in the mirror and noticed I had dark lines of dirt settled visibly into the creases of the skin of my neck. Oh EW. And that was after hosing myself off in the ditch!
Anyway, I'm alive, though a memory card fault means I'm home with far, far fewer photos than I'd anticipated.
