ok, self, i know i told you that you could work on this story you’re going to have to shelve for the rest of the day, but the solution to that is not to stay up super late past your bedtime to work on it. the solution is that you’ve already written as much as you need to and you can come back to it later once you’ve discharged your other obligations.

on the upside you managed to silkscreen a bunch of wrapping paper, do all your laundry, and also write 20k words today
the downside is that it’s on this stupid story you’re not working on

and I just want to go back to working on it even though two (TWO!) WIPS I really was excited to read updated yesterday and I was saving them for today expressly to wean myself off this thing I was writing that I don’t want to stop writing.
Literally no one wants this story. Nobody asked for it. It doesn’t fill any niches in fandom and it can’t be genericized as original fic either. It’s not what I want to be doing.
But it’s allllll I can think about. *headdesk*
Gonna go try that coffee now, see if it does the trick. Ughh.
