oh no, now the oldest nephew was feeling outdone by his little brother with the black eye. He fell off playground equipment at school and sustained a supracondylar humerus fracture and is gonna be in the hospital overnight and need surgery. Poor munchkin. (Don’t follow that link if you don’t want to see an x-ray of a broken arm; the only thing that matters is that it’s a broken arm just above the elbow, and it’s incredibly rare in adults and incredibly common in children.)
This same kid had open-heart surgery at 9 months of age, so, he’s just racking up the experience points or something.
Although come to think of it his little brother (he of the black eye this morning) was in a cast for like half the summer for a broken bone in his foot, but that didn’t need any surgery.
How did people ever survive to adulthood in the pre-modern era????
How many cumulative years is my sister gonna spend in the ER???
