I have no idea what milk tea with jelly in it is but it sounds nice!
I am the sort of person who says “ughhh I need a drink!” and makes one, but it turns out I am not the sort of person who actually drinks to relieve stress. I just like cocktails.
I uh, dunno how to reply to tagged posts etiquette-wise so I’m just going to keep writing.
I am a weird combo of excellent and terrible at taking tests. I don’t have the keenest analytical mind so I think what it is is that I don’t actually notice trends, so I’m sure there are kinds of tests I’m good at and others I’m bad at. ? Which is a weird way of expressing sympathy but there you go.
All I’ve ever wanted to do is write, and all I’ve ever really done consistently is write, and I’ve long since given up on writing anything that will ever meet with critical acclaim or even attention, so more power to you for dreaming. I’ll write it, but I’ve been following the career of my favorite author for over a decade now, and she’s been very frank about it– as a respectable mid-lister who cranks out three or four really excellent, brilliantly-worldbuilt, lovingly-crafted novels a year, faithfully and on-deadline, she earns $5-10k a year and has had three or four publishers either drop her without warning or go suddenly under before paying her.
So. You know. I make pretty drinks that I like, and I drink them. Alcohol is not a mood elevator, it merely relaxes the inhibitions and raises the blood pressure, and if I want those things I have more wine, and if I don’t, I make tea with mint and sage and honey, which is my current favorite thing.
I’m sorry your test went poorly. It’s all a bunch of hooey and we should make Molotov cocktails and overthrow the establishment.
I know some bee farmers. They keep hives all over, including a huge line of them right up at the top of my sister’s farm. The honeybees are a sort of aggressive Italian bee that my sister’s slightly scared of, but they don’t bother the chickens. The hives smell amazing if you stand near them, and you can hear the bees all the time. The beekeepers are Russian and somehow have decided that my sister and her family are awesome, and the one guy always comes by and brings them random things– honey, mostly, but also sometimes literal truckloads of bread and like, bananas? from grocery stores that were throwing them out? ostensibly to feed to the pigs but sometimes my sister eats them anyway? and his English is too bad for them to ever speak to one another, really, but he clearly likes them and means well. So I have a lot of honey in my house, now, and it’s really good honey, and if you were a bee farmer I would support that.
Let’s just wallow together, that’s okay. *pets your hair*
